TCMS Software Manager - Software Configuration & Change Management Your Responsibilities Own Software Configuration Management (SCM), Software Release Management, and Software Change Management throughout the software lifecycle. Define and maintain Software Configuration Management Plans (SCMP), software baselines, version control, branching strategies, and release processes. Plan and manage software releases for development, integration, validation, commissioning, maintenance, and customer delivery. Define software release scope, schedules, and deployment plans aligned with project milestones. Coordinate with Project Management, Technical Management, System Engineering, Software Development, V&V, Integration, Commissioning, Site Management, Quality, Functional Safety, and customer teams to ensure timely software delivery. Act as the primary interface for software configuration, release, and change management activities across projects. Review customer requests, defect reports, engineering changes, and commissioning feedback to define software release content and priorities. Lead Software Change Management, including Change Requests (CRs), Problem Reports (PRs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and perform technical impact analysis. Organize Software Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and drive approved changes through implementation and closure. Decide software release readiness and approve software baselines for integration, validation, commissioning, and customer deployment. Ensure software releases are verified, traceable, and compliant with project quality processes and railway safety standards. Coordinate software deliveries across multiple projects, product variants, and global engineering locations. Support commissioning and site teams by managing software fixes, patches, emergency releases, and field issue resolutions. Monitor software release status, configuration metrics, change progress, and delivery KPIs, providing regular status updates to project stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement of software configuration, release, and change management processes while mentoring engineering teams on best practices. Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 8-10 years of experience in railway, rolling stock, embedded systems, or safety-critical software development. Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Management, Software Configuration Management, Release Management, or Change Management. Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Software V-Model, Configuration Management, Release Management, and Change Management. Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Git, SVN, Azure DevOps, ClearCase, or equivalent. Experience with Requirements Management tools such as Polarion, IBM DOORS, or equivalent. Experience with Change Management tools such as JIRA, Redmine, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. Knowledge of build management, software packaging, continuous integration, and deployment processes. Good understanding of TCMS software architecture, embedded control systems, and railway communication protocols such as MVB, WTB, Ethernet, and TRDP. Good knowledge of railway standards including EN 50126, EN 50128.
