About the role
As a Java Developer at ShyftLabs, you will be responsible for designing and developing Java microservices to support retail business functions like order processing and inventory updates. You will collaborate with architects to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of services. Your role will involve developing and managing RESTful APIs and message-driven services using ActiveMQ, JMS, or Kafka. Troubleshooting and resolving production issues in coordination with operations teams will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain Java microservices for retail business functions - Develop and manage RESTful APIs and message-driven services - Collaborate with architects to ensure high availability, scalability, and security - Support CI/CD deployments and containerized environments - Troubleshoot and resolve production issues Qualifications: - 4+ years of professional Java development experience - Strong in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture - Experience with RESTful APIs and integration frameworks - Solid understanding of retail system integrations like OMS, IMS, or ERP - Experience with message brokers like Kafka, ActiveMQ, JMS - Strong SQL/NoSQL database skills - Proficient with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field ShyftLabs is a growing data product company founded in early 2020, working primarily with Fortune 500 companies.
