Senior QA Engineer

Role Overview: At SimplifyVMS, we are seeking a hands-on Senior QA Engineer to take ownership of end-to-end product quality outcomes, implement an AI-first testing mindset, and scale rigorous, automation-heavy quality practices for our global platform. As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in defining the test strategy, leading a team of junior QA engineers, scaling automation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the release quality of our multi-tenant, configuration-rich B2B SaaS platform. Key Responsibilities: - Define the test strategy and ship-readiness criteria for every release to maintain the quality bar for the B2B SaaS platform. - Lead and develop a team of 23 junior QA engineers, including hiring, coaching, conducting 1:1s, creating growth plans, and performance reviews. - Scale automation across UI, API, services, data pipelines, and integrations, while driving shift-left testing with developers and SDETs. - Utilize AI tools to generate test cases, expected outcomes, test data, and regression summaries, and build AI-assisted validation flows for edge cases and configuration explosions. - Design and execute thousands of scenarios and combinatorial suites to challenge functionality, security, performance, and reliability across various parameters. - Establish SLAs/SLOs, capacity models, soak tests, and failure budgets for performance and load testing, partnering with DevOps for scalable load tests in CI. - Build frameworks to validate complex business rules, rate cards, workflows, and approvals across countries/clients with feature flags and tenant configs. - Own build health, reduce flaky tests, and automate release quality metrics for CI/CD quality gates. - Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Customer Success teams to coordinate enterprise UAT and post-release validations. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience in software testing for global B2B SaaS, with a preference for HR Tech/VMS, HCM, ATS, or fintech/payroll domain experience. - Proven track record testing highly configurable, multi-tenant platforms with multi-currency and multilingual support. - Deep expertise in test automation, including knowledge of Playwright, Cypress, Selenium/WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, RestAssured, Pact, among others. - Practical experience using AI tools for test authoring and anomaly detection. - Strong skills in API, integration, and data validation, performance/load testing, security, compliance, CI/CD, and DevOps. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
