About the role
As a member of the engineering team at one of Sweden's leading tech brands, your role will be crucial in putting the company into the spotlight. You will be responsible for routine monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of VMware infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, and security of virtualized environments. Collaboration with other IT teams for infrastructure changes, maintenance, and enhancements will be a key part of your role. It will also be essential to document configurations, procedures, and processes for virtualized environments and have a solid understanding of networking concepts and virtualized network environments. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of VMware infrastructure. - Ensure the availability, performance, and security of virtualized environments. - Collaborate with other IT teams for infrastructure changes, maintenance, and enhancements. - Document configurations, procedures, and processes for virtualized environments. - Have an understanding of networking concepts and virtualized network environments. - Experience with storage solutions in VMware environments (SAN, NAS, and Direct Attached Storage (DAS)). - Possess performance analysis and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving system issues. - Knowledge of managing servers, racks, power supplies in a data center environment. - Experience in managing system upgrades, new implementations, and data center projects, including capacity planning and timeline management. Qualifications Required: - Educational Qualification: B. Tech /B.E./MCA - 4-8 years of experience in IT System Administration. - Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. - Understanding of ITIL framework. - Understanding of Linux OS and Networking.
