About the role
Job title: Network Administrator / Network SME Location: Pan India, hybrid Experience: 8-10 yrs Job description: 10+ years of experience in enterprise network administration, wireless infrastructure, network security and datacenter/campus networking support. Extensive hands-on experience managing Aruba Central for Aruba wireless access points, Aruba switches, device onboarding, monitoring, firmware upgrades, alerting and troubleshooting. Strong experience with Aruba ClearPass, including Policy Manager, 802.1X authentication, RADIUS, TACACS+, guest access, endpoint profiling, role-based access and NAC policy enforcement. Good working knowledge of enterprise wireless concepts including SSID design, RF basics, roaming, authentication flows, certificate-based access, captive portal, client troubleshooting and wireless performance optimization. Strong hands-on experience managing FortiGate firewall policies, address/service objects, NAT, VPN, IPS, web filtering, application control, SSL inspection, SD-WAN, routing integration and HA operations. Strong understanding of routing and switching technologies including VLANs, trunks, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, static routing, VRRP/HSRP, QoS, multicast basics and network segmentation. Experience with small and enterprise network tools including IPAM such as Efficient IP, or equivalent, with working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, IP allocation, subnet management and IP lifecycle governance. Ability to monitor and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, internet, branch and datacenter network issues using structured diagnostic methods. Ability to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into secure, scalable and supportable network solutions using Aruba, Fortinet, routing/switching and IPAM capabilities. Experience preparing HLD/LLD inputs, network diagrams, SOPs, configuration standards, implementation plans, change plans, migration runbooks, RCA reports and knowledge documents. Key Responsibilities Administer and support enterprise network services across Aruba Central, Aruba wireless, Aruba switching, Aruba ClearPass, FortiGate firewalls, routing/switching, DNS, DHCP and IPAM platforms. Manage Aruba Central device onboarding, configuration templates, monitoring, alerting, firmware lifecycle, performance checks and troubleshooting for access points and switches. Configure, support and troubleshoot Aruba ClearPass authentication policies, enforcement profiles, guest access workflows, endpoint profiling, RADIUS/TACACS+ integrations and NAC use cases. Support wireless operations including SSID configuration, authentication issues, RF/performance analysis, client connectivity problems and coordination with site teams for access point or switch issues. Manage FortiGate firewall administration including firewall rules, NAT policies, VPN tunnels, SD-WAN rules, security profiles, address objects, routing, HA checks and policy cleanup activities. Support routing and switching operations such as VLAN provisioning, port configuration, trunking, routing updates, segmentation changes, QoS checks and network availability troubleshooting. Operate and maintain IPAM tools such as EfficientIP/Infoblox, including IP allocation, subnet management, DNS/DHCP record updates, utilization review and cleanup of stale assets. Perform incident, problem and change management activities in alignment with ITSM processes, including impact analysis, risk assessment, implementation and post-change validation. Monitor network health, capacity, availability and security posture; proactively identify recurring issues and recommend corrective or preventive actions. Collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, application, service desk and customer teams to ensure stable network operations and effective service delivery. Maintain technical documentation, configuration backups, standard operating procedures, operational handover notes and knowledge transfer materials for BAU teams. .
