About the role
Job Summary We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with 3+ years of experience in testing enterprise-grade cybersecurity products and web applications across both On-Premises and Cloud environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in manual and automation testing , including agent-based and agentless solutions , API testing, backend validation, performance testing, and integration testing within Agile Scrum teams. The candidate should have solid knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, networking fundamentals, data privacy regulations standards, email systems, plugins/add-ins, and enterprise integrations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for cybersecurity products and web applications. Perform testing of: Agent-based and Agentless solutions Web applications in On-Premises and Cloud environments Backend services and APIs Email plugins, mail add-ins, and integrations Enterprise mail systems and collaboration platforms Validate functionality, security, scalability, reliability, and performance of applications.
Conduct: Functional Testing Regression Testing Integration Testing API Testing Backend Testing Performance & Load Testing Automation Testing Security Testing
Work closely with Developers, Product Owners, DevOps, and Security teams in Agile Scrum methodology. Create and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts. Identify, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools. Validate deployment workflows in both Cloud and On-Premises infrastructures. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, retrospectives, and release activities. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards such and enterprise security guidelines. Perform compatibility testing across browsers, operating systems, and enterprise environments. Analyze logs, network traces, and backend responses for troubleshooting complex issues. Required Skills & Technical Expertise Testing Expertise Strong knowledge of: Manual Testing Automation Testing Performance Testing Regression & Integration Testing
Experience in test case design techniques and defect lifecycle Automation & Tools Hands-on experience with: Selenium WebDriver Robot Framework
Experience scripting in languages like Python/Java (preferred) Performance Testing Experience with JMeter for load and stress testing API Testing Strong understanding of REST APIs Experience in API validation, request/response validation, and automation Database Testing Good knowledge of SQL Ability to validate backend data and write complex queries Cloud & DevOps Experience working with: Azure Cloud / SaaS platforms Azure DevOps (test plans, boards, pipelines) Understanding of CI/CD workflows Security & Networking Basic to intermediate understanding of: Cybersecurity concepts (OWASP, vulnerabilities, authentication, authorization) Networking fundamentals (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, ports, firewalls) Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to work independently and in a team Adaptability in fast-paced Agile environments Nice to Have Certifications in QA / Testing / Security Experience with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) Exposure to scripting for test automation frameworks Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience
