About the role
As a Senior Java Developer at SITA, you will play a crucial role in the technical design, development, and maintenance of applications and systems using a variety of technology platforms. Your responsibilities will include: - Writing and delivering functionality documentation, unit test cases, and integration tests as part of a fully Agile DevOps team - Guiding junior developers and non-technical business colleagues through the software development lifecycle to ensure best practices and timely delivery of solutions within budget - Collaborating with your team to provide assistance and support, while following existing coding guidelines and practices - Participating in the analysis of requirements for designing new application and system features - Learning and integrating new technologies in a cutting-edge environment Qualifications for this role include: - Seasoned experience as a Senior Developer in fast-paced agile environments with leadership skills - Proficiency in planning and implementing software architecture, particularly in Java within Microservices and familiar with SOA principles - Skills in object-oriented code design, relational databases, Spring, Spring Boot, full-stack web development, Angular, Apache Webserver, Apache Tomcat, and MS SQL Server - Knowledge of networking concepts, application design principles, version control, and source code management with expertise in GIT - Ability to integrate API specifications into software functionality and coordinate technical work streams effectively Nice-to-have qualifications include knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, MS SQL Server, Mongo DB, and Maria DB.
