Role Overview: As a Quality Engineer specializing in CMM, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in metrology equipment such as CMM, Contour machine, surface roughness, roundness machine, Trimos, and millipore equipment. Your role will involve hands-on operation of basic instruments like vernier, micrometer, and bore gauges. Additionally, you will be involved in gauge planning for New Product Developments (NPDs) and coordinating gauge procurement from manufacturing suppliers. A detailed understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) will be essential for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate proficiency in using metrology equipment like CMM, Contour machine, etc. - Operate basic measuring instruments such as vernier, micrometer, and bore gauges effectively. - Plan gauges for NPDs and coordinate procurement from manufacturing suppliers. - Possess detailed knowledge of GD&T for accurate quality assessments. - Conduct calibration activities for all instruments and gauges, both in-house and through third-party vendors. - Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely third-party calibration and maintain ISIR of in-house machined components and supplier parts. - Participate in set up approval, in-process inspection, and prepare detailed inspection reports.
