SAP Basis Consultant

About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated SAP Basis Consultant with handson experience in SAP system administration. The role involves managing SAP landscapes, ensuring system stability, and supporting upgrades and migrations. The consultant will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver reliable SAP solutions aligned with business needs. Key ResponsibilitiesSystem AdministrationInstall, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ERP/S/4HANA).Perform daily monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.Upgrades & MigrationsExecute SAP kernel upgrades, support package implementation, and database migrations.Assist in system refreshes and landscape optimization.User & Security ManagementManage user accounts, roles, and authorizations.Ensure compliance with security policies and audit requirements.Database & OS SupportAdminister HANA, Oracle, or DB2 databases.Work with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems for SAP environments.Monitoring & DocumentationUtilize SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring and root cause analysis.Maintain system documentation, operational manuals, and change logs.Collaboration & SupportPartner with functional consultants to resolve application issues.Provide production support and participate in oncall rotations.Required Skills & ExperienceSAP Basis administration experience.Strong knowledge of SAP ERP / S/4HANA systems.Handson experience with HANA database administration.Familiarity with system performance tuning, backups, and restores.Exposure to SAP Solution Manager for monitoring and diagnostics.Basic scripting knowledge (Unix shell scripting preferred).Good understanding of networking concepts (RFCs, ports, connectivity).Desired ProfileBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.SAP Basis certification (optional but highly valued).Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.Ability to work independently and in team environments.Flexibility to work in shifts and support critical production issues.
