SLR SOLAR PRIVATE LIMITED Plant: SLR Solar Module Manufacturing Plant, Kishangarh, Rajasthan Department: Quality Assurance & Control Designation: Senior Quality Engineer About Us SLR Solar Private Limited is a solar PV module manufacturer in Kishangarh, Rajasthan, specializing in high-efficiency TOPCon Bifacial G12R solar panels. We focus on precision manufacturing, product reliability, and sustainable practices. Role Overview The Senior Quality Engineer will lead end-to-end quality assurance across the module line from incoming materials to final dispatch ensuring compliance with IEC/BIS standards and customer specifications for TOPCon Bifacial G12R modules. Key Responsibilities Lead Incoming Quality Control (IQC) for cells (G12R TOPCon), glass, EVA, backsheet, frames, junction boxes, ribbons, and adhesives. Monitor In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) across stringing, layup, lamination, framing, JB potting, and handling to prevent process-induced defects. Conduct Final Quality Inspection (FQI): EL imaging, flash testing (IV/STC/NOCT), insulation/Hi-Pot, wet leakage, and visual acceptance checks. Investigate defects (micro-cracks, snail trails, delamination, hot spots, PID); drive RCA, 8D, and CAPA to eliminate root causes. Maintain and calibrate quality instruments: EL scanner, solar simulator/IV tracer, thermal imager, insulation testers. Implement and maintain SPC to monitor process capability (Cpk/Ppk) and key CTQs; analyze trend data and produce quality reports. Prepare and control QA documentation: Control Plans, PFMEA, SOPs, inspection checklists, NCRs, and 8D reports. Support customer and third-party audits (TV, BIS, MNRE); act as primary contact during inspections and certification surveillance. Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for supplier quality development and supplier CARs. Train, coach, and supervise QC technicians and line inspectors to build a quality-first shop-floor culture. Drive yield improvement, rejection reduction, and scrap minimization initiatives. Required Qualifications & Experience B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Materials, or related engineering discipline. 48 years in quality assurance/control within solar PV module manufacturing or closely related electronics/semiconductor manufacturing. Hands-on experience with TOPCon / PERC / HJT or large-format module quality preferred. Practical exposure to EL testing, flash testing, IV characterization, Hi-Pot and thermal imaging. Technical Skills Knowledge of solar module manufacturing: stringing, lamination, framing, JB potting. Familiarity with IEC 61215, IEC 61730, BIS IS 14286 and ALMM/ MNRE guidelines. Proficiency with QC tools: PFMEA, 8D, 5-Why, SPC, MSA, Control Plans. Experience with QMS (ISO 9001:2015) and audit processes. Proficient in MS Excel; experience with MES/QMS/ERP systems for quality data tracking. Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and process orientation.
