Cloud Data Platform Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking 3 talented Cloud Data Platform Engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-based data infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver robust data pipelines, storage solutions, and platform services that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field

3+ years of experience in cloud data engineering or data platform roles

Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or Scala)

Experience designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud data infrastructure and data pipelines

Build and optimize data ingestion frameworks for batch and real-time streaming workloads

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver solutions

Implement data quality, monitoring, and observability practices across the platform

Manage and optimize cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)

Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are met

Document architecture decisions and maintain platform runbooks

Required Technical Skills

Cloud Platforms: AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda), Azure (Data Factory, Synapse), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow)

Data Orchestration: Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Azure Data Factory

Big Data Technologies: Apache Spark, Kafka, or Databricks

Data Warehousing: Snowflake, BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep

Version Control: Git/GitHub or GitLab

Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes basics

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field

• Cloud certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, or Azure Data Engineer Associate

• Experience with dbt (data build tool) for analytics engineering

• Familiarity with DataOps or MLOps practices

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
