Business Analyst - Mutual Funds Work Experience: 6 to 9 years Role Overview The Manager Mutual Fund (ADM) is responsible for end-to-end Application Development and Maintenance of the mutual fund platform. This role ensures system enhancements, production stability, release management, and continuous improvement of the mutual fund technology platform. The candidate acts as a critical bridge between business operations and technology teams, ensuring the platform remains scalable, resilient, and efficient while meeting evolving business requirements and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Requirements Analysis & Solution Design Review and analyze Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) received from Business and Operations teams Validate requirements for feasibility, completeness, and system impact Translate BRDs into functional specifications and technical requirements Design system solutions aligned with existing platform architecture Define application changes, database impact, and file structures Conduct requirement workshops and clarification sessions with stakeholders 2. Development and System Enhancements Lead development and enhancement initiatives based on approved requirements Work closely with Business and Operations teams to understand business needs Coordinate with development teams for implementation Ensure timely delivery of enhancement projects Maintain documentation of system architecture and workflows Implement best practices for code quality and maintainability 3. Testing, UAT, and Production Release Management Ensure comprehensive system integration testing (SIT) coverage Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating test scenarios Ensure end-to-end coverage across all modules before production release Plan and manage release cycles and deployment activities Minimize post-release defects through rigorous validation and quality checks Handle production incidents, defects, and escalations promptly Act as the single point of contact for platform-related issues and escalations Conduct post-release reviews and implement preventive measures 4. Production Support & Stability Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues Coordinate with infrastructure and support teams for issue resolution Maintain SLA adherence for production support Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents 5. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation Recommend technology upgrades and platform improvements Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes in mutual funds Contribute to strategic planning for platform evolution Key Skills and Competencies Domain Knowledge Familiarity with Mutual Fund Platforms Hands-on experience with mutual fund processing systems Domain knowledge of mutual fund transaction processing Understanding of subscription, redemption, switch, SIP, STP, dividend payout, etc. Knowledge of AMFI, SEBI regulations and compliance requirements Understanding of NAV calculation and settlement cycles Experience with fund accounting and portfolio management systems Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Leadership and team coordination skills Attention to detail and quality orientation Qualifications Educational Background Bachelors degree MBA in Finance / Investment Management (preferred) Certifications in mutual fund operations (e.g., NISM Series V-A, V-B) Professional Experience 6 9 years of experience in Mutual Fund / Capital Market Operations Experience with end-to-end project delivery from requirement gathering to production release Proven track record in production support and incident management Disclaimer : This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
