About the Role" We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Linux System Administrator with 7-10 years of experience in Linux infrastructure, High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster administration, and enterprise system management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deploying, managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting Linux-based HPC environments while leading infrastructure initiatives and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. This role requires deep expertise in Linux administration, cluster management, system performance tuning, automation, and infrastructure monitoring to ensure high availability, scalability, and operational excellence. Role & responsibilities : Linux System Administration Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise Linux operating systems including: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) CentOS Rocky Linux SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) Ubuntu Server Perform OS installation, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management. Configure Linux kernel parameters and optimize system performance. Manage boot process, GRUB, system services, and package repositories. Perform storage management including LVM, RAID, filesystem configuration, and disk provisioning. Configure NFS, CIFS, AutoFS, and shared storage environments. Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, ACLs, and security policies. Troubleshoot OS-level issues including CPU, memory, disk, network, and kernel-related problems. HPC Cluster Administration Deploy, configure, and maintain High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters. Install and administer cluster management software. Provision and configure compute nodes, login nodes, storage nodes, and management nodes. Configure and maintain: Compute clusters GPU clusters Storage clusters Preferred candidate profile: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline. 7-10 years of hands-on experience in Linux System Administration. Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing HPC clusters in enterprise or research environments. Strong understanding of Linux internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience working with large-scale production infrastructure. Excellent scripting and automation skills. Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
