About the role This role is critical to ensuring the stability, performance, scalability, and security of our platforms. You'll lead deployments of client tenants and containerized components, harden AWS infrastructure, and automate operations to deliver reliable and secure systems. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll design and operate cloud environments, streamline workflows, and drive best practices in observability, incident response, and vulnerability management. Responsibilities Operate and harden AWS infrastructure (IAM, VPC, EC2/Lambda/EKS/ECS, S3, WAF, GuardDuty) Automate deployments and environment provisioning with Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation Manage containers and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes Implement monitoring, tracing, and log pipelines with CloudWatch and related tooling Drive incident response, reduce MTTR, and provide calm, clear communication under pressure Deploy new tenant environments and enforce secure SDLC practices Lead patching, vulnerability remediation, and support security/compliance frameworks (ISO 27001) Apply an automate-the-paper-cut mindset to continuously improve reliability and efficiency Requirements 4–7 years of experience in SRE/DevOps roles, with strong change management and on-call experience AWS (IAM, VPC, EC2/Lambda/EKS/ECS, S3, WAF, GuardDuty): 3+ years operating secure, scalable infrastructure Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation): 3+ years automating deployments and environments CI/CD pipelines (GitHub): 2+ years integrating and delivering code securely Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes): 2+ years managing workloads at scale Monitoring & logging (CloudWatch, tracing, log pipelines): 2+ years building observability pipelines Secure SDLC, dependency scanning & remediation workflows: 2+ years implementing security best practices Vulnerability management (e.g., Aikido): 2+ years handling scanning and remediation Nice to have Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., ISO 27001) Knowledge of security compliance frameworks Exposure to advanced incident management practices Benefits Fixed Shifts: 12:00 PM - 9:30 PM IST (Summer) | 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM IST (Winter) No Weekend Work: Real work-life balance, not just words Day 1 Benefits: Laptop and full medical insurance provided Support That Matters: Mentorship, community, and forums where ideas are shared True Belonging: A long-term career where your contributions are valued At Smart Working, you'll never be just another remote hire.
