About the role
Role Overview: At Smart Working Solutions, we are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure) using Terraform and deep MongoDB Atlas ownership experience. This role involves designing, operating, and scaling a cloud-native infrastructure for a large enterprise SaaS platform. As a high-ownership, architecture-level position, you will be responsible for end-to-end design and management of production systems, with a focus on database infrastructure and scalable cloud environments. Join our remote, async-first environment and collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and manage cloud-native infrastructure across GCP, AWS, or Azure using Terraform. - Take full ownership of MongoDB Atlas in production, including cluster architecture, replication, backup strategies, performance tuning, and security. - Architect and oversee containerized and serverless workloads, as well as event-driven systems. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a focus on automation, reliability, and scalability. - Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) modules, collaborate on system architecture, and optimize performance. - Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability across distributed systems. - Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and infrastructure decisions. - Mentor engineers and promote DevOps best practices within the organization. Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of DevOps/Infrastructure Engineering experience in production environments. - Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure using Terraform. - Advanced Terraform experience, scalable cloud infrastructure design, and deep MongoDB Atlas knowledge. - Familiarity with containerized environments, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven architectures. - Strong communication skills, ability to work in a remote team, and operate at an architect/owner level.
