Engineering Manager - Frontend

As an Engineering Manager Web Portal (Frontend), you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and scaling of high-traffic web platforms supporting Mutual Funds, Trading, Research, and other web portals. Your role will involve owning the frontend architecture and delivery for customer-facing platforms that require high performance, reliability, and security. You will collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, and Business teams to create intuitive, scalable, and responsive web experiences while overseeing high-performing frontend engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: - Own frontend architecture and system design for large web portals - Lead engineering teams in building scalable, performant, and secure web applications - Drive best practices in frontend development, code quality, and performance optimization - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions - Ensure responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility - Mentor engineers and foster frontend technical leadership - Take accountability for delivery timelines, platform stability, and user experience metrics Qualifications Required: - 10 years of experience in frontend or full-stack development with 5 years in engineering leadership roles - Strong expertise in building and scaling consumer-facing web platforms - Proven experience managing teams delivering complex, high-traffic portals - Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and performance optimization - Ability to work closely with business stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions - Strong understanding of computer science concepts, data structures, and algorithms - Excellent communication skills and a strong inclination towards people growth and team development Tech Stack: - Frontend: React.js, Next.js - Cloud & Hosting: AWS Additional Details: - Prior experience in Mutual Funds, Trading, Research, or BFSI platforms is a bonus - Exposure to frontend security best practices for financial applications is advantageous - Experience with SEO, analytics, and monitoring for large web portals is preferred - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments can be beneficial In summary, this role offers you the opportunity to own large-scale, customer-facing financial web platforms, define and scale modern frontend architecture, and have a leadership role with a strong influence on product experience and performance.
