Image Recognition AI for Retail Execution Analytics | Snap2Insight Software Engineer - Backend (Java) Bengaluru Full-time Experienced About The Position We are looking for a Java/backend Junior Engineer to develop web services for our AI Image Recognition offering. We are based out of US/India, and have a vibrant team culture where we learn, accomplish and have fun as a team Responsibilities: As a Junior Engineer in our engineering team, you will work closely with the rest of the team to Develop and maintain the core services that power our mobile applications and analytical dashboards Design schemas, write queries, and optimize performance As the engineer building the foundation of our systems, you will end up working with product, frontend, database and DevOps/infra teams to roll out new features and maintain the performance metrics Requirements: 2-3 years of server-side application development experience with Java, writing production backend services at scale Experience in developing Spring based microservices (Docker+Kubernetes will be a plus) Experience in creating well documented RESTful APIs Experience in any one of the enterprise cloud hosting providers like Azure, AWS or GCP (Experience in Azure will be a plus) Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD tools Good understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Design and Databases Deep understanding of SQL database architecture - data modeling and scalable schema design Exposure to NoSQL databases will be a plus Experience working with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle - ranging from architecture and design to implementation and testing Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
