Build the future of data. Join the Snowflake team.Were looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support Snowflake Accounting as part of our growing Finance Business Intelligence (BI) team. In this role, you will drive value and empower decision making through data, analysis, reporting, and automation that will impact Snowflakes success as a company.Job DescriptionAs a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the following:Partner with other BI team members and Accounting stakeholders to identify use cases and gather requirements for analysis, reporting, and automationMap requirements to systems and data, work with IT to ingest data into Snowflake, assess data quality, design and build flexible data pipelines (primarily using a combination of SQL, Snowflake, and dbt) that will support a wide range of requirements, develop automated testing around required data, and develop BI solutions on top of Snowflake datasetsAnalyze data to shed light on key business questions and present on findingsBuild reports and dashboards using Streamlit and Snowsight that will enable the delivery of key metrics and insights to Accounting stakeholdersPlan and lead BI projects, develop documentation, provide status updates, perform QA, and work with Accounting team to complete user acceptance testing (UAT) for all BI deliverablesThink creatively and act collaboratively to find optimal solutions to complex, unstructured problemsIdentify weaknesses in processes, data, and systems, and work with a broad set of stakeholders to drive improvementsWhat You Will NeedREQUIRED SKILLS:4 years of experience working as a data or business intelligence analystAdvanced SQL skills for performing analysis and developing data infrastructure including large-scale relational datasetsExperience using Python to parse, structure, and transform dataStrong experience developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise level reports and dashboards using best-in-class tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or LookerExperience developing datasets in an MPP environment such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQueryAbility to communicate in an effective and concise manner with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadersDemonstrated ability to taking loosely defined business questions and translating those into clearly defined business, data, and technical requirements that drive value for the organizationAbility to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, constantly changing environmentExperience defining, planning, and managing individual projectsPassion for detail, quality, problem solving, and efficiencyPREFERRED SKILLS:Experience leading or working within a scrum, sprint, or other agile frameworkPast experience working in an Accounting role or directly supporting analysis and reporting for Accounting stakeholders (especially in areas such as flux analysis and reconciliation)Experience building data apps using Streamlit Build the future of data.
