Mep Planning Engineer

Role & responsibilities Key Responsibilities Project Execution: Manage the entire lifecycle of MEP works from design review and procurement to installation and final handover. Budget & Schedule: Develop MEP budgets, track installation costs, and align MEP work schedules with the master construction program. Clash Coordination: Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and civil teams using modeling tools like AutoCAD and Revit to prevent spatial clashes and ensure system efficiency. [ Quality & Safety Assurance: Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with local building codes, sustainability requirements, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations. Commissioning: Lead the testing and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they function at peak operational load. Stakeholder Management: Facilitate meetings with clients, consultants, and trade contractors to resolve technical issues and expedite approvals for requests for information (RFIs). Requirements & Qualifications Education: A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management. Experience: 5+ years of direct experience managing MEP scopes in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects. Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and project scheduling software like MS Project or Primavera . Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, contract negotiation, and team leadership capabilities.
