As an FPGA Design Engineer at Enercon, your role involves designing and developing FPGA and FPGA-based SoCs for new electronic products. You will be responsible for developing detailed specifications, implementing FPGA designs, and collaborating with the design team to evaluate alternatives based on performance, cost, and resources. Your key responsibilities include: - Designing and developing FPGA and FPGA-based SoCs for new electronic products - Developing detailed specifications and implementing FPGA designs based on requirements - Collaborating with the design team to evaluate alternatives and determine the best approach - Performing implementation activities including timing analysis and simulations - Preparing the Validation plan and C-Sequences required for validation tests - Working on Xilinx Cores such as DDR4/LPDDR4/PCIE/USB/Ethernet IP cores - Debugging using Chip scope/Protocol aware Logic Analyser/high-speed probes - Collaborating with the verification team to complete verification of FPGA designs - Participating in the bring-up of new FPGA-based hardware and supporting hardware development - Mentoring junior members of the engineering staff and promoting design team abilities To excel in this role, you should have demonstrated skill in developing original designs with Verilog for FPGAs and/or FPGA-based SoCs. You should also have a strong understanding of FPGA design concepts, experience with Xilinx platforms, and familiarity with tools and methodologies used in FPGA development. Additionally, you should possess educational qualifications such as a 4-year degree in ECE Engineering or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 5 years of FPGA development experience. Your ability to work independently, troubleshoot hardware issues, and collaborate effectively with multiple departments will be crucial for success in this position.
