About SOFFLIX HR SOFFLIX HR builds modern HR software that helps businesses manage payroll, leave, attendance, performance, and employee data through one intuitive, customizable platform. We're a fast-growing team on a mission to make HR simple, efficient, and human-centered and we're looking for a curious, detail-oriented intern to join us as we scale. About the Role This is a hybrid internship based in Colombo, with flexibility for partial remote work. You'll work directly with our product and delivery teams gathering requirements, configuring the system to match client needs, testing your setups, and supporting clients through demos and Knowledge Transfer Sessions (KTS). It's a hands-on chance to learn real-world Business Analysis inside a live SaaS product, with genuine ownership over client implementations not just admin support. What You'll Do Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and clients Support process mapping and identify opportunities for improvement Assist in preparing functional specifications and requirement documents for the product team Configure system settings (payroll rules, leave policies, attendance workflows, etc.) based on client requirements Test configured setups to ensure accuracy before client handover Help coordinate between clients, developers, and project leads during implementation Support client demos, walkthroughs, and Knowledge Transfer Sessions (KTS) Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support decision-making Participate in client meetings and take structured notes/action items Assist with UAT (user acceptance testing) coordination and issue tracking as needed What We're Looking For Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail Familiarity with Business Analysis or Business Process Improvement concepts (academic or practical) Ability to gather, structure, and clearly document business requirements Confident communication skills comfortable speaking with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Comfortable learning software systems and configuring settings based on business logic (training provided no coding background required) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); exposure to analytics or diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Draw.io) is a plus Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Management, or a related field Self-motivated and comfortable working in a hybrid, fast-paced startup environment What You'll Gain Direct exposure to how a growing HR-tech SaaS product is built and scaled Real client-facing experience configs, testing, demos, and KTS, not just internal busywork Mentorship from founders and senior team members across product, sales, and delivery A foundation in BA practices that translates directly to future roles in tech, product, or consulting .
