Senior QA Automation Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Softobiz Technologies, you will be the first dedicated QA hire and the owner of quality across the company's Admin Panel platform. You will be responsible for building automation strategies for a large NestJS/TypeScript backend and its Next.js operator frontend. Your role will involve setting up end-to-end automation from scratch and implementing AI-driven testing practices embedded in CI. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of the platform and championing quality in code reviews and release sign-offs. Key Responsibilities: - Own the end-to-end automation strategy, including test-data management, tooling decisions, and reporting, documented and adopted by the team - Implement AI-driven, flow-based test automation by modeling critical operator journeys and using AI to draft tests from flows and keep them current - Develop frontend and end-to-end automation using Playwright, covering operator journeys, React/Next.js component, visual, and accessibility testing - Manage test management, reporting, and release quality by maintaining traceability, defects, CI quality gates, and live quality reporting - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, document all processes, and partner with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders Qualification Required: - 5+ years of experience in QA automation with a strong foundation in TypeScript, JavaScript, Playwright, React/Next.js, Jest, Supertest, and NestJS - Proficiency in SQL, API testing, AWS, CI/CD, and mobile test automation with Appium - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field - Experience in building AI-assisted and flow-driven testing, with a clear understanding of responsible AI usage - Excellent written English skills, ability to work autonomously in a distributed team, and strong documentation capabilities Company Details (Optional): Softobiz Technologies is a technology and product services company headquartered in India, operating Global Capability Centers for leading international clients across various industries.
