About the role
JOB TITLE Full-Stack Engineering & Data Science Intern LOCATION 100 % remote – work from anywhere DURATION 3–6 months (option to extend or convert to full-time) REPORTS TO Vivek Gupta (Founder / CTO) – you will work directly with me every day WHY THIS ROLE I move fast on MVPs that blend software engineering with applied data science—AI-powered micro-services, vector search back-ends, real-time dashboards, and proof-of-concept apps for clients in logistics, fintech, and health. You'll be my engineering co-pilot: brainstorming architecture in the morning, shipping features by evening, and iterating on data models in between. RESPONSIBILITIES • Build and refine full-stack prototypes: Next.js or React front-ends, TypeScript/Node or Python services, Postgres/Mongo/Weaviate data layers, CI on GitHub/GitLab. • Perform data science and ML tasks: quick EDA, feature engineering, small model training/testing (LLMs, tabular, or CV) and integration into products. • Handle cloud ops: containerize, deploy, and monitor on Azure, AWS, GCP, or Vercel/Fly.io. • Own projects end-to-end: from whiteboard to usable demo, incorporating rapid customer feedback. • Write concise technical docs: READMEs, notebooks, and short Loom walkthroughs for hand-off. QUALIFICATIONS Must-Have • Strong grasp of modern web stack (JavaScript/TypeScript or Python). • Comfort with SQL plus one NoSQL or vector database. • Hands-on Git/GitHub workflow experience. • Solid intuition for data wrangling and analysis (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn). • Ability to self-drive deliverables in an asynchronous, fast-paced setting. • Clear written and spoken English. Nice-to-Have • Experience with Next.js, tRPC, or GraphQL. • Familiarity with Cube, Microsoft Fabric, or dbt. • DevOps basics (Docker, GitHub Actions). • Exposure to OpenAI, LLaMA, or RAG pipelines. • Prior hackathon or startup experience. • Tasteful eye for UX/UI (Tailwind, shadcn/ui). WHAT YOU WILL GAIN • Daily mentorship at the cutting edge of full-stack and AI product development. • Rapid learning curve across engineering, MLOps, and product thinking. • Visible impact—your code will ship to production pilots for enterprise clients. • Flexible hours—overlap 3–4 hours per day for pairing; otherwise async. • Competitive stipend tied to clear milestones. • Potential pathway to extend, join full-time, or spin up your own venture with my network's backing. HOW TO APPLY 1. Email [HIDDEN TEXT] with the subject line: FS-DS Intern – . 2. In the email include: • One short paragraph on why this internship excites you. • Links to your GitHub, a project/demo you are proud of, and/or a brief Kaggle or blog write-up. • Earliest start date and weekly availability. 3. Short-listed candidates will complete tests and a two-hour take-home mini-build; we'll review it together on a call. If you love turning ideas into working software and enjoy switching between code editors, notebooks, and strategy whiteboards, let's build the impossible—faster.
