About the Role Diversey is seeking a highly skilled Application Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will act as a technical expert in Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) and food safety hygiene solutions, supporting customers across the food and beverage (F&B) industry including dairy, beverage, brewery, and processed food sectors. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to optimize cleaning processes, improve hygiene standards, and deliver measurable operational and cost efficiencies. This is a dynamic, customer-facing role requiring strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive value through innovative hygiene solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. CIP & Hygiene Application Expertise Serve as a subject matter expert in CIP systems within F&B manufacturing environments. Develop deep technical knowledge of: Process equipment and flow design Cleaning chemistry Microbiological risks Hygiene standards and sanitation principles 2. Plant Audits & Gap Analysis Conduct detailed CIP and hygiene audits at customer sites. Identify inefficiencies, hygiene risks, and improvement opportunities in existing cleaning programs. Analyze: Cleaning performance Water, energy, and chemical consumption Food safety and compliance risks 3. CIP Program Development Design and implement customized cleaning and hygiene programs using Diversey solutions. Select appropriate: CIP detergents and disinfectants Operating parameters (concentration, temperature, flow, and contact time) Perform cost-in-use calculations, ROI evaluation, and benefit analysis for customers. 4. Trial Management & Validation Develop and execute protocols for CIP trials and hygiene validations. Lead on-site trials, monitor performance, and secure customer approvals. Validate improvements in: Cleaning effectiveness Microbiological control Operational efficiency 5. Technical Support to Sales Provide expert technical support to sales teams and key accounts. Assist with: Complex application challenges Critical hygiene issues Strategic customer engagements Act as the technical authority in customer discussions and solution presentations. 6. Training & Knowledge Transfer Deliver technical training to internal teams, distributors, and customers. Conduct hands-on coaching, mentoring, and double-working sessions. Drive capability building in CIP best practices and hygiene standards. 7. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Support implementation of Diversey innovations and value-driven solutions. Collect and share customer feedback with sales, marketing, and R&D teams. Contribute to standardization of CIP approaches across multiple sites. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field. Proven experience in CIP systems and hygiene applications within F&B manufacturing. Strong understanding of cleaning chemistry, microbiology, and sanitation principles. Experience conducting plant audits and implementing process improvements. Ability to analyze data and perform cost/ROI calculations. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and presentation abilities.
