About the role
Role Overview: You have the opportunity to join Solventum as an AI Scientist to contribute to building and scaling AI-driven healthcare solutions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing Healthcare Information System (HIS) applications, transitioning from experimental notebooks to creating real-world, secure, and scalable AI/ML applications. Your work will involve exploring various AI technologies to ensure the tools are reliable and transformative for both clinicians and patients. Key Responsibilities: - Model Development & Deployment - Design, train, and fine-tune ML models using classical statistical methods and modern deep learning architectures. - Assist in the full-cycle execution of models from data cleaning and feature engineering to deployment in production environments. - Implement LLM-based components and agentic workflows to enhance system reasoning and natural language capabilities. - Data Science & Engineering - Process and analyze structured and unstructured healthcare data to extract actionable insights. - Conduct rigorous testing to ensure model accuracy, fairness, and safety within the highly regulated healthcare context. - Optimize models for latency and throughput to meet the demands of real-time healthcare applications. - Collaboration & Growth - Work independently or collaboratively with other scientists and engineers to translate research requirements into production-ready code. - Maintain clear documentation of experiments, model architectures, and data pipelines to ensure reproducibility. Qualification Required: - Education & Experience: - Masters in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field (or a Bachelors with 5+ years of relevant industry experience). - Hands-on Experience: - At least 3 years of experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models in a professional or intensive academic setting. - Core Technical Stack: - Solid foundation in Classical ML and Deep Learning. - Proficiency in Python and standard ML libraries. - Bonus Points (Preferred): - Familiarity with MLE/MLOps, cloud platforms, and healthcare data privacy.
