About the role
Role & responsibilities : To design and develop transmission systems and components (gearbox, gears, shafts, housings) ensuring performance, durability, and cost efficiency. Preferred candidate profile : Design and development of transmission components such as gears, shafts, bearings, synchronizers, and housings. Perform design calculations (gear strength, load, fatigue life, durability). Create 3D models and drawings using CAD tools (UG NX). Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis. Coordinate with CAE, testing, and manufacturing teams for design validation. Support prototype development and testing activities. Work on design improvements, cost optimization, and value engineering. Analyze failures and support root cause analysis (RCA).
