System Engineer

Job Title: Systems Engineer Location: Pune, India Job Type: Full time Experience 6+ years Location: Hybrid - Primary support for ETS (Eastern Time Zone), possible after hours and weekends when projects require. Job Description: As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and reliable. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms, server management, network administration, and automation practices. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments. Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers. Manage Windows SQL Server databases and ensure their high availability and performance. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC). Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Ensure robust network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize system performance and reliability. Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure seamless integration and operations. Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and infrastructure issues. Maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in managing AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure. Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux server environments. Experience with Database applications (Postgres, NySQL, and MS SQL Server administration). In-depth knowledge of network administration, including experience with firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and network security practices. Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other languages. Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent. Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or equivalent. Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
