We build SpaceSync — a cloud BIM platform that lets architects go from a spatial program to a coordinated 3D model in minutes instead of weeks. Think Figma for architecture: browser-native, real-time, collaborative. At the core is our patent-pending bidirectional sync engine, which keeps spreadsheets and 3D geometry in lockstep — edit a room area in a grid and the model updates; drag a wall and the numbers follow. It's a hard systems problem, and it's the thing you'd be helping build. We're a small founding team shipping to real architecture firms and enterprise partners. What you'll do Build and own REST and GraphQL endpoints that power SpaceSync's design modules Work on the sync engine — event pipelines, conflict resolution, and consistency between relational and document stores Implement async workloads with Celery for geometry processing, exports, and AI inference jobs Extend our real-time collaboration layer over Django Channels and WebSockets Write tests, review PRs, and ship to production behind feature flags — interns here merge code in week one, not month three Our stack Python 3.12 · Django 5.x · Django REST Framework · Strawberry GraphQL · PostgreSQL · MongoDB Atlas · Redis · Celery · Django Channels · Docker · AWS ECS Fargate You won't know all of it. What we're looking for Pre-final or final year student, or a recent graduate available full-time on-site in Bengaluru Strong Python fundamentals and comfort with data structures, algorithms, and SQL Hands-on experience with Django or DRF — a personal project, a hackathon build, or coursework you can walk us through Working knowledge of Git and a habit of reading documentation before asking Genuine curiosity about how systems fail, and the patience to find out why Nice to have GraphQL, Celery, WebSockets, or Redis in a real project Docker, CI/CD, or any AWS exposure Open-source contributions or a GitHub profile with things you actually built Interest in geometry, CAD/BIM formats (IFC), or computational design Why this internship Real ownership.
