About the role
As an Embedded Safety Software Engineer, your role will involve developing and executing Black-Box tests for RTOS/Hypervisor products. You will be responsible for translating requirements and DO-178C DAL-A objectives into test procedures and scripts. Additionally, you will design and implement system-level scenarios such as thread/process performance, context switching, IPC, device driver latency, resource isolation, and stress/limit tests. Your duties will also include validating compliance using only externally observable behaviors and interfaces, collaborating with certification, architecture, and white-box testing teams for full safety/security coverage, analyzing and reporting system defects, supporting root cause analysis, and building automated test suites for scalable regression. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute Black-Box tests for RTOS/Hypervisor products - Translate requirements and DO-178C DAL-A objectives into test procedures and scripts - Design and implement system-level scenarios: thread/process performance, context switching, IPC, device driver latency, resource isolation, and stress/limit tests - Validate compliance using only externally observable behaviors and interfaces - Work with certification, architecture, and white-box testing teams for full safety/security coverage - Analyze and report system defects; support root cause analysis - Build automated test suites for scalable regression Qualifications Required: - Strong C programming and debugging fundamentals - Experience in Black-Box testing of RTOS or hypervisor-based embedded systems - Experience in analyzing test failures, identifying system defects, and supporting root cause debugging (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description.)
