Job Description Senior FIX Protocol / Connectivity Engineer Position: Senior FIX Protocol / Connectivity Engineer Experience: 48 Years Shift timings : Customer business Hour i.e. 9 AM to 6 PM Work Mode: Full-Time, Onsite (5 Days/Week from Customer Office) Budget: 12-13 Lacs Senior FIX Protocol / Connectivity Engineer (4–8 Years)Role Overview We are seeking a Senior FIX Protocol Engineer with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our financial engineering team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain high-performance trading infrastructure, managing electronic trading sessions and client onboarding. Core Responsibilities Session Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot FIX sessions (FIX 4.2, 4.4, 5.0) for clients, brokers, and exchanges. Onboarding & Connectivity: Drive the technical onboarding and certification process for new institutional clients and liquidity providers. Execution Systems: Maintain and optimize Order Management Systems (OMS) and Execution Management Systems (EMS) to ensure seamless order routing. Production Support: Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for production trading connectivity issues, managing sequence resets and drop-copy feeds. Infrastructure Monitoring: Implement proactive alerting for network latency, message gaps, and session disconnects. Technical Skills Required FIX Expertise: 4+ years of deep, hands-on experience with the FIX protocol specification, tag mapping, and session layer rules. FIX Engines: Proven experience working with enterprise FIX engines (e.g., Quick FIX, Cameron FIX, Activiti, or custom proprietary engines). Scripting & Linux: Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting (Bash), Python, or Perl for log analysis. Network Analysis: Competency with network troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and telnet to diagnose connectivity issues. Database Skills: Solid understanding
