Senior QA and Automation Manager

SpacePointe is seeking a QA Manager & Senior Automation Engineer to lead quality assurance across our web and mobile fintech applications. You will own both manual and automation testing for high-risk financial systems, ensuring secure, performant, and stable releases across POS, payments, and commerce platforms. You will define and enforce QA standards, lead automation framework development, mentor QA engineers, and partner with Product, Development, and DevOps to embed quality throughout every release cycle. This is a senior, hands-on role requiring deep expertise in automation frameworks, database validation, and transaction-heavy systems. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.What Youll DoQA Strategy & Leadership Own QA for web, mobile, and API-based fintech applications.Define, implement, and continuously improve QA methodologies for security-sensitive systems.Build and scale QA automation frameworks to reduce regression cycles and speed releases.Mentor QA engineers, review test plans/scripts, and drive a quality-first culture.Automation & Test Engineering Architect and maintain automated frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, JMeter).Automate RESTful API, workflow, and data validation tests across services.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Implement performance/load testing for transaction-heavy systems.Test Design & Execution Write comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts from product requirements.Execute functional, regression, integration, UAT, exploratory, and edge-case testing.Validate security, performance, and compliance (PCI DSS, encryption, error flows).Own test data strategy; partner with DB teams for backend validation and data migrations.Defect Management & Documentation Investigate, reproduce, and report defects with clear RCA and steps.Collaborate with Developers, DevOps, and Product to drive fast resolution.Maintain QA documentation (results, procedures, RCAs) with version control.Agile & Cross-Functional Collaboration Participate in sprint planning, retros, and daily stand-ups.Align QA with agile cadences and continuous delivery goals.Represent QA in release go/no-go and partner meetings.Minimum Qualifications 6+ years in QA, including 3+ years senior/lead QA automation.Built automation frameworks from scratch.Strong hands-on skills: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, TestNG/JUnit, Postman, JMeter (or equivalents).Advanced SQL for backend validation, complex queries, data-driven testing.Experience testing RESTful APIs and integrating API tests into frameworks.Solid SDLC, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD understanding.Fintech/POS/core banking exposure (transaction-heavy systems).Excellent bug documentation; Jira or similar tools.Able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.Preferred Qualifications Experience in PCI-compliant environments.Performance/load testing for transaction-heavy platforms.Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker/Kubernetes.ISTQB or equivalent certification.Success Metrics (KPIs) Reduced escaped defects (production incidents).% automation coverage on regression/critical workflows.Average test cycle time vs. baseline.Average defect resolution time & RCA completion.Performance adherence under load.Partner/Client feedback on release quality.How We Work Hands-on leadership: strategy + code contributions.Shift-left QA: test early in design/dev cycles.Metrics-driven quality: automation coverage, defect trends, performance baselines.Collaboration-focused: close alignment with DevOps, DB, and Engineering.Compensation: 190,000.00 per month Work Location: Remote SpacePointe is seeking a QA Manager & Senior Automation Engineer to lead quality assurance across our web and mobile fintech applications.
