About the role
Perform relay testing, protection scheme verification, and commissioning support for transformer protection systems. Configure and test protection relays (differential, Buchholz interface, overcurrent, earth fault, etc , depending on scheme, distance Relay, Generator Protection Relay etc)Verify CT/PT polarity, wiring checks, and protection functional verificationCarry out secondary injection testing and ensure trip/logic settings meet design requirementsValidate communication and interface checks (SCADA/RTU/IED communication if applicable)Prepare relay test checklists, settings sheets, and commissioning documentationAnalyse relay behaviour and alarm/trip records to improve reliability and prevent nuisance tripsProvide technical support during fault troubleshooting and closure of snag items
