About the Role We re looking for an experienced API & Web Services Test Engineer who is passionate about ensuring quality through robust API testing. You ll work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to validate API functionality, performance, and reliability. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with tools like Postman, SoapUI, and Swagger, and has a strong understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and HTTP methods. What You ll Do Design and execute test cases for REST and SOAP APIs. Perform validation on status codes, headers, response bodies, and schemas. Use tools like Postman, SoapUI, and Swagger for manual and automated API testing. Write basic test scripts using JavaScript, Python, or Java to automate validations. Collaborate with development teams to understand API specs and resolve defects. Document test results, bugs, and issues in a clear and structured format. Participate in test planning and requirement reviews. What We re Looking For Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in API and Web Services testing. Strong understanding of API concepts REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, HTTP methods. Proficiency with Postman, SoapUI, and Swagger. Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or Java. Strong skills in assertion and validation of APIs: status codes, headers, and schemas. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Clear communication and documentation skills. (Optional but a plus): Experience in the healthcare domain, especially around patient enrollment workflows. Nice to Have Healthcare domain knowledge, especially around patient enrollment workflows. Familiarity with API test automation frameworks (e.g., Newman, RestAssured). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
