About the role
Role Overview: You will be responsible for providing integration support throughout the product development cycle, including pre-product planning, recent product introduction (NPI), and change management. Additionally, you will develop and deliver ATI calibration per program requirements, including controller tuning for aftertreatment components such as DOC, DPF, and SCR. Your role will involve aftertreatment system diagnostics tuning, catalyst health management strategy and tuning, stakeholder collaboration, process improvement, project leadership, and technical direction influence. Key Responsibilities: - Provide integration support throughout the product development cycle - Develop and deliver ATI calibration per program requirements - Perform controller tuning for aftertreatment components such as DOC, DPF, and SCR - Conduct aftertreatment system diagnostics tuning - Develop catalyst health management strategy and tuning - Collaborate with stakeholders to obtain input and negotiate providing recommendations that support project decisions, feasibility studies, and design optimization - Apply and enhance processes related to thermal and fluid sciences utilizing tools like GT-Power (optional), Fluent, and Data Analysis Tool - Independently lead smaller business impact projects and manage project leadership - Influence the technical direction within project teams continuing to develop and refine core competencies Qualification Required: - Education: Graduate in BE Mech or PG in MTech Thermal Science or Machine Design - Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience as an Engineer in a relevant discipline with a proven track record in technical problem-solving and quality decision-making - Competencies: Analytical proficiency, systems thinking, effective communication, decision quality, and resourcefulness - Essential Skills: Experience with aftertreatment systems and tuning, proficiency in engine system testing and data analysis, strong understanding of combustion and emissions science principles, capability in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics - Preferred Skills: Program management skills, familiarity with MS Office tools (Note: Any additional details of the company were not included in the provided job description.)
