About the role
As a Senior Mechatronics Engineer at Spookfish, you play a crucial role in bridging the gap between mechanical design and electrical architecture to create "Intelligent Vision Machines" for global FMCG and Pharmaceutical giants. Key Responsibilities: - Mechanical Modeling (60%): Lead the 3D CAD design (Inventor) of custom machinery with a focus on high-speed motion, vibration damping, and pharmaceutical-grade material selection. - Electrical Architecture (40%): Design comprehensive electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, including power distribution, sensor integration, and PLC/PC-based control panel layouts. - Integrated Design: Utilize tools like SolidWorks Electrical to route cables within 3D models, ensuring no interference between moving parts and wiring harnesses. - Vision Integration: Design specialized enclosures for cameras and strobe lighting, managing thermal heat dissipation and precise optical alignment. - Vendor & Shop-Floor Management: Oversee the fabrication of mechanical parts and assembly of electrical panels to ensure alignment with digital models. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Experience: 4-5 years in Special Purpose Machinery (SPM) or Robotics. - Mechanical Mastery: Expertise in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/Autodesk Inventor) and knowledge of pneumatics, actuators, and precision machining. - Electrical Fluency: Ability to create professional wiring schematics and select appropriate electrical components. - The "Mechatronics" Mindset: Understanding the impact of electrical noise on sensors and mechanical heat on electronics. - Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. At Spookfish, you will experience true ownership of the machine you design, work on high-speed systems, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of AI researchers and software architects in a flat, fast-moving hierarchy. If you are ready to contribute to building the next generation of intelligent machines, send your portfolio showcasing machines you have designed to jobs@spookfish.vision.
