Senior Large Language Model Engineer

About The Role SportERP Limited is expanding its R&D and Engineering capabilities in Pune, India, and we're looking for a Senior LLM Engineer to drive the development of state-of-the-art Large Language Models (LLMs). In this role, you'll work closely with computer vision teams, building integrated AI solutions that power the next generation of sports technologies. If you have 67 years of experience in NLP, LLMs, and machine learning, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead teams, we want to hear from you. This position requires a deep understanding of how LLMs can be applied in various contextsincluding text generation, knowledge extraction, and advanced analyticsand how to integrate them effectively with computer vision processes. Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize Large Language Model solutions (e.g., GPT-based architectures, BERT variants)Collaborate with computer vision teams to integrate multimodal data (text, images, video)Lead the research and implementation of cutting-edge NLP and generative AI techniquesExplore, select, and manage vector databases and related infrastructure for large-scale text/data storageOversee and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices in AI/ML developmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders in India and the UK to define and execute on project goalsEnsure high-quality documentation, code integrity, and scalable solutions What We're Looking For Required Skills & Experience 67 years of professional experience in machine learning, NLP, or LLMsHands-on expertise with transformer-based models (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5) and associated deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)Strong familiarity with fine-tuning large language models for specific domains or tasksExcellent communication skills in English (verbal and written), capable of guiding teams and interacting with international stakeholdersProven ability to lead projects and oversee a small team of engineersExperience managing data pipelines (collection, cleaning, ingestion) and working with vector databasesBasic knowledge of computer vision or willingness to learn how to integrate NLP with CV solutions Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of MLOps best practices, including containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)Experience deploying models in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)Familiarity with GPU acceleration, distributed computing, and optimizing ML workloadsBackground in building chatbots, virtual assistants, or similar AI-driven products Benefits Competitive salary based on experienceRemote-friendly work environment with flexible hoursOpportunity to work on innovative AI solutions, integrating language and computer vision technologiesA collaborative and dynamic team environmentCareer growth opportunities and exposure to cutting-edge ML and NLP technologies Join our team and help shape the future of sports technology with advanced Large Language Model solutions! .
