About the role
Sportz Interactive powers some of the largest sports leagues, broadcasters, and publishers with real-time sports data and digital experiences. With over 23 years of structured sports data and deep ball-by-ball cricket datasets , SI is uniquely positioned to build a new generation of data, AI, and video intelligence products for the global sports ecosystem. We are now looking for a Product Manager to help convert SI’s internal data and video infrastructure into scalable, monetizable platforms.
Role Overview
You will own the productization of SI’s core assets: real-time sports data, historical datasets, and synchronized video feeds. Your mission is to transform these capabilities into platform products and APIs used by leagues, broadcasters, media companies, fantasy platforms, and AI labs. You will work closely with engineering, data operations, video teams, and commercial stakeholders to launch new revenue lines beyond services.
Key Product Areas The role will contribute to several emerging product lines.
- Data API & Developer Platform Build scalable APIs for accessing SI’s real-time and historical sports data. Products may include: Real-time match data APIs
Historical sports datasets
Developer platform for sports data access
Data licensing infrastructure
- AI Data Products Leverage SI’s deep datasets to power AI applications. Examples include: AI training dataset licensing
Sports-specific LLM datasets
Predictive analytics feeds
Contextual commentary APIs
Potential buyers include AI labs, analytics companies, and sports startups.
- Fan AI & Conversational Sports Interfaces Develop conversational fan experiences built on SI’s live data. Examples: Fan companion AI agents
Interactive match Q&A engines
AI-powered sports assistants inside apps and broadcasts
- Automated Content & Storytelling Generate automated sports content using structured data. Products may include: AI-generated match reports
Contextual commentary feeds
Automated stat insights
Real-time editorial content APIs
- Sports Data Visualization Products Build embeddable widgets and visual analytics tools. Examples: Live score widgets
Wagon wheels and shot maps
Player comparison dashboards
Interactive match pages
These products will serve publishers, teams, and league websites.
- Video Intelligence & Highlight Platforms Leverage SI’s synchronized video + event tagging pipeline to build video products. Examples include: Automated highlight generation
Event-based video clipping
Interactive video overlays
Social media highlight automation
Video search and archive platforms
These products can power broadcasters, OTT platforms, and sports media companies.
Responsibilities

Product Strategy Identify opportunities to convert internal data and video capabilities into scalable products

Define product roadmaps for data, AI, and video platforms

Work closely with leadership to prioritize revenue-generating initiatives

Product Development Define APIs, developer workflows, and platform capabilities

Work with engineering and data teams to ship scalable systems

Drive product discovery, prototyping, and MVP launches

Platform Thinking Build products that can serve multiple clients rather than bespoke implementations

Define pricing, packaging, and licensing models

Customer Discovery Engage with SI’s existing customers (leagues, broadcasters, publishers)

Identify new use cases across sports media and analytics

Commercial Enablement Partner with the commercial team to bring new products to market

Support sales with product demos, documentation, and positioning
What We’re Looking For

Experience 5–8+ years of product management experience
-
Experience building API products, developer platforms, or data platforms
-
Exposure to AI/ML products or data-driven products
-
Experience working with engineering teams on complex systems
Skills
-
Strong analytical and platform thinking

Strong proficiency in SQL
-
Ability to structure messy data into usable products
-
Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and developer ecosystems

Comfort working in ambiguous, early-stage product environments

Experience in sports technology, media tech, or video platforms
