Job Description: Director of Infrastructure, India GCC Role Overview The Director of Infrastructure for the India Global Capability Center (GCC) will lead the development, implementation, and management of critical infrastructure systems that support business operations across the companys Insurance and Retirement Services divisions. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, operational excellence, and strong people management skills to ensure the GCCs infrastructure aligns with global standards and drives business success. Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams, establish strong project and program governance, manage complex initiatives with clear accountability, risk management, and executive reporting, and drive organizational change through a data-driven and outcome-oriented approach. This role requires a leader who combines strategic vision, disciplined governance, data-driven decision-making, and an automation-first mindset to modernize infrastructure at scale. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of on prem as well as cloud computing, virtualization, storage systems, networking, and cybersecurity. Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive organizational change. Global Perspective: Experience working in a multinational environment and collaborating across geographies. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Strategy and Planning Develop and execute the infrastructure strategy for the India GCC, ensuring alignment with global corporate goals and local business needs. Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge technologies to improve infrastructure reliability, scalability, and efficiency. Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to forecast infrastructure requirements and budget planning. Project Governance, Data & Automation Establish and run strong project and program governance frameworks for infrastructure initiatives, including clear stage gates, KPIs, risk tracking, and executive dashboards. Drive a data-driven operating model by defining and tracking infrastructure metrics such as availability, cost efficiency, capacity utilization, incident trends, and SLA performance to support informed decision-making. Foster an automation-first mindset across infrastructure operations by leveraging scripting, orchestration, AI/ML-driven monitoring, and self-healing capabilities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance reliability. Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to standardize, automate, and simplify infrastructure processes at scale. Operational Excellence Ensure the seamless performance of all IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network systems, and cloud solutions. Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and disruptions. Oversee disaster recovery processes and business continuity planning, ensuring robust safeguards are in place. Team Leadership Build and lead a high-performing infrastructure team by fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Mentor and guide direct reports to achieve excellence in individual and team performance. Promote professional development and continuous learning within the team. Vendor and Partner Management Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality infrastructure solutions. Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements to achieve cost-effective and efficient outcomes. Compliance and Risk Management Ensure adherence to global and local regulatory requirements, data protection laws, and cybersecurity standards. Implement infrastructure policies and procedures to mitigate risks and strengthen security. Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or any related field. Masters degree is preferred. Experience: 20+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on large-scale enterprise environments. Proven track record in leadership roles, preferably in a Fortune 500 company or financial services domain.
