The origin story About the Role We are looking for a Head of Computer Vision — a visionary, hands-on leader who thrives at the intersection of deep visual AI and real-world business impact. This is not a maintenance role; it's a build-from-scratch, scale-with-speed mandate. You'll lead Spyne's Computer Vision initiatives end-to-end — from defining the roadmap and driving R&D, to shipping world-class visual AI systems that power the next generation of automotive commerce. Location: Gurugram (Work from Office – 5 days a week) What You'll Own Computer Vision Strategy & Vision: Define and execute Spyne's long-term Computer Vision roadmap aligned with product, business, and global expansion goals. Hands-On Innovation: Lead the design, training, and optimization of state-of-the-art computer vision models — including image segmentation, object detection, pose estimation, 3D reconstruction, generative vision models, and multimodal systems. Scale & Deployment: Build scalable CV pipelines, inference systems, and production-grade deployments leveraging AWS, GCP, or Azure, optimized for speed, accuracy, and cost. Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and grow a world-class Computer Vision team — fostering a culture of ownership, experimentation, and execution velocity. Cross-Functional Impact: Partner closely with product, engineering, and design teams to embed visual intelligence deeply into customer-facing automotive experiences. Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of advances in computer vision and visual AI, and represent Spyne at global conferences, industry forums, and research collaborations. Execution Excellence: Balance innovation with delivery — ensuring computer vision models move from prototype to production with clear, measurable business outcomes. What Makes You a Great Fit 6–8 years of experience in Computer Vision and Deep Learning, with strong expertise in image, video, and 3D understanding systems. A strong academic or research pedigree (top-tier institute or AI-driven company background preferred). Proven experience building and scaling computer vision products in high-growth startups or production-grade enterprise environments. Hands-on mastery of frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, OpenCV, and modern MLOps and deployment practices. A builder's mindset — capable of moving fast, experimenting rigorously, and delivering results with minimal oversight. Strong leadership and mentoring skills; able to develop high-performing CV and applied ML teams. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; comfortable working with leadership, product teams, and external partners.
