About the role
As a Network Reliability Specialist at Squarepoint, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the stability and integrity of the global trading network. This includes managing projects related to data, voice, video, network security, storage area networks, wireless networks, network monitoring, and capacity management. You will be involved in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, optimization, and documentation of all network hardware, software, and communication links. Collaboration with the Core Networking team and trading systems developers is essential to deliver an optimal trading platform. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement highly available enterprise networks, including data centers, WANs, and offices - Lead project delivery related to data centers, WANs, and offices upgrades/expansions, migrations, and multicast provision delivery - Collaborate with internal and external vendors for project delivery and management - Implement and support changes to the network environment in all Squarepoint locations - Provide L1 follow-the-sun on-call escalation support for performance and availability issues - Identify areas for generating efficiencies through automation and innovative solutions Preferred Qualifications: - Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related IT discipline - CCNP certification or higher (CCIE preferred) - Minimum 7-12 years of experience in network implementation and project delivery - Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols including OSPF, BGP, NAT, IPSEC, GRE, PIM, HSRP/VRRP, VXLAN, etc. - Experience with Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration products and technologies - Strong scripting and automation experience, with Python preferred - Experience with network diagnostic and performance tools such as tshark, tcpdump, wireshark - Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions and cloud-based solutions For more information about Squarepoint, please visit our website at Squarepoint Capital.
