SOC Analyst Fresher (L1) Location: [REMOTE] | Experience: 0 years (Freshers only) | Employment Type: Full-time Eligibility: Must possess a valid degree certificate (B.Tech/B.E./BCA/BSc-IT/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related field) About the Role We're hiring fresh graduates to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team as Level 1 Analysts. This is an entry-level role designed for candidates with strong fundamentals in networking and security concepts, no prior industry experience required. Full training will be provided. What you'll do Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools under supervision Perform initial triage and classification of security incidents (true positive/false positive) Escalate confirmed incidents to L2/L3 analysts as per defined protocols Document incidents, actions taken, and findings in ticketing systems Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and playbooks for common alert types Participate in shift-based monitoring (24x7 SOC operations rotational shifts, including night shifts) What we're looking for A valid degree certificate in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field mandatory, no exceptions Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, ports/protocols) Basic awareness of common security concepts (malware, phishing, DDoS, vulnerabilities) — through coursework, certifications, or self-study Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts Strong analytical and observational skills, with attention to detail Good communication skills (written and verbal) for incident documentation and escalation Good to have (not mandatory for freshers) Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent Familiarity with any SIEM tool (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight) — even through academic projects Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) What you'll get Structured onboarding and hands-on SOC training Mentorship from senior analysts (L2/L3) Clear growth path from L1 L2 L3 SOC Analyst
