About the role
In this role as a Software Engineer, you will have a variety of responsibilities, including: - Regularly conducting code reviews and adhering to best industry standards to ensure the application meets those standards. - Collaborating with the DevOps team to release and deploy specific software applications or modules on production servers according to release schedules and business requirements. - Compiling business requirements with the business team and assisting in designing optimized technical solutions. - Participating in meetings with project managers and business analysts to analyze and optimize product designs and road maps. - Mentoring team members by sharing your technical expertise and working with the team to ensure effective communication and collaboration across different geographical locations. - Leading and promoting new technologies within the organization and implementing complex systems and software components in compliance with Agile and Services Oriented Architecture standards. To be successful in this role, you should have: - 10 years of Java software development experience. - At least 2 years of experience with Web services REST or SOAP. - At least 2 years of experience with JEE, Spring/Spring Boot, or Hibernate for building service-oriented solutions and RESTful microservices. - Strong understanding of Java multithreading, concurrency, and memory management. - Familiarity with front-end technologies like JSP, JSTL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Experience in writing both unit tests and integration tests. - Knowledge of web servers and application servers such as Apache Tomcat. - Experience with AGILE and SCRUM methodologies. - Aptitude for learning new technologies and effective communication skills with technical and non-technical team members. - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. - Experience in FinTech or related software products is a plus.
