Role Overview: As a Senior Data Engineer at Standard Chartered Bank, you will be responsible for understanding the overall domain architecture, managing changes within them, and developing big data analytic programs using the Hadoop framework. You will work independently, possess proficiency in ETL job processes related to the EDM platform, and demonstrate a self-enabled and motivated personality. Utilize the Escalation Matrix for tasks that are showstoppers or blockers to meet the timeline effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Work closely with CCIB Trade business and CCIB tech partners to take product programs from investment decisions into design, specifications, solutioning, development, implementation, and hand-over to operations, ensuring support and collaboration from other SCB teams. - Manage business partner expectations and ensure delivery aligns with business meeting time, cost, and high quality processes. - Support Business Operating Models, Standards, Finance, Risk Controls, and compliance with regulations. - Lead through example, build appropriate culture and values, and collaborate with risk and control partners to set the tone and expectations for the team. - Embed the Group's values and code of conduct in the TB T&I Team, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of ethics, compliance with policies, processes, and regulations. - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role and maintain the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct. Qualification Required: - Bachelor/Masters Degree in Computer Science or IT/Maths/Statistics/Quantitative/Business. - Strong knowledge of IT principles and system development lifecycle. - Certification in Data Engineering or Data Science Domain is preferred. - Good understanding of Trade Banking Segments especially Corporate and Commercial Banking.
