About the role
Your Capabilities and Credentials
General knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes (ex. OBC, A23.3, S16, S304, O86).
General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
General knowledge of structural systems, means & methods of construction, and materials.
Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
General understanding of structural engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Understanding of Component Design Software and Building Analysis Software. Experience with SAFE, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, and/ or MASS preferred.
A self-starter who is innovative and enjoys working in a team environment.
Education and Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Structural/ Civil Engineering from an accredited university required. Professional Engineer in good standing with PEO preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting within a buildings structural team preferred
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may require travel and include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
