About the role
Your Capabilities and Credentials Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer, SignCAD, and AGI-32 ProjectWise experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, including writing technical reports and memos using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong knowledge of the TxDOT design/planning procedures, and PS&E plan production Experience must include traffic operations and safety; highway capacity analysis; traffic operational analysis; Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD); designing and implementing traffic signal system timings; and preparing PS&E plans. Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others Education and Experience Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum TX PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months Minimum of 5 years traffic engineering project experience TxDOT Precertification preferred This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.
