Job Role : ETL Tester

Location : Irvine, CA

Duration : 12-18 months

Job Duties:

Utilize tools (SQL, Python, Hives, Sparks, Alpine etc.) to analyze, query and manipulate data according to defined business rules and procedures.

Hands on experience with Hive or Pig to query and process data through DB2

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner with clear recommendations based on data insight

Log defects and tracks trends.

Develop test plans for new data acquisitions and ensure proper testing in development

Test/validate business rules and data mapping and create automated scripts to test data

Coordinate within various teams to ensure open items get a timely resolution

Maintain inventory and ensure enforcement of data quality rules

Perform regression testing at critical junctions to ensure preservation of existing data integrity

Be able to complete tasks and report to cross functional teams and leadership

As an individual, as part of a team, responsible for various testing activities (test case creation, test execution, test reports, log defects) and be proactive to find automated solution.

Execute SQL queries

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills :

BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or relevant discipline.

Strong SQL / Analytical SQL expertise; Must have advanced SQL testing skills

Should be well versed with the Data flow and Test Strategy

Develop complex code data scripts (Primarily SQL)

Proficient with SQL, PySpark, Python, Hives and big data testing

Execute testing of data analytic and data integration on time and within budget

Troubleshoot & determine best resolution for data issues and anomalies

Extensive experience with both data migration and data transformation testing

2+ years of related experience.

Regularly works on issues/problems where analysis of multiple situations or multiple points of data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Issues are generally non-standard and require experience and familiarity with data to resolve efficiently.

Regularly makes recommendations to improve data testing.

Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint.
