About the role
Position: Mechanical Creo Designer Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)
Experience: 5 - 8 Years Citizenship: UC, GC, or TN Visa only (No OPT or H1B) Duration: 12+ months
Requirements

ProE Creo 4.0+ and Windchill 2.0
-
5+ years of commercial product design and packaging (enclosures) with sheet metal and electronic components
-
Strong Creo modeling skills, managing assemblies, BOM in Windchill, drawing changes, and clean-sheet designs
-
Experience designing brackets, harness/cable design/routing, copper tubing/routing, and full drawing packages
-
Large assembly design experience (sub-components, configurable BOMs) is critical
-
Knowledge of panels, doors, dividers, corners, tubing, brackets, hinges, support flanges, insulation, and 90° components
-
2–4 years in a design and production environment

HVAC/Refrigeration experience highly preferred

Education

Associate degree preferred (or equivalent experience)

Experience & Responsibilities
-
Recent hands-on experience with Creo 4.0+ 3D solid modeling and Windchill PLM required
-
Lead and support engineering teams in new product development as part of the phase-gate process

Develop and design mechanical parts and assemblies, including 3D harness routing using Creo Schematic and Pro/CABLE

Create 2D harness drawings and design documentation

Work from engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches

Develop, communicate, and present design concepts

Apply DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and tolerance analysis
-
Prepare engineering documentation, bills of material (BOM), and change notices
-
Produce and document designs utilizing CAD and PLM systems (detailed drawings, layouts, and unit product drawings)

Create and maintain BOMs, assemblies, and sheet metal models in Creo and Windchill
-
Preferred: experience with HVAC and refrigeration systems or related components
