Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a manufacturing client in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area. This role focuses on creating CAD models and drawings for product components, assemblies, and fixtures to support Product and Manufacturing Engineering. The engineer will work primarily in Pro-Engineer / Creo 4, creating, modifying, and maintaining designs in line with customer requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a key part of the role, along with managing timelines, multitasking, and staying organized.
Key Responsibilities:
Create CAD models and detailed drawings for components, assemblies, and fixtures.
Develop, modify, and maintain designs in Pro-Engineer / Creo 4 to meet customer requirements.
Review customer requirements and renderings, making necessary design adjustments.
Apply GD&T principles to designs and export CAD data for manufacturing use.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Manufacturing Engineering.
Manage multiple projects, maintaining timelines and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for project tracking, data analysis, and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proficiency with Creo or Pro-Engineer and/or AutoCAD software.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Experience reviewing and interpreting customer requirements and renderings.
Knowledge of GD&T principles and CAD data export processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
