Process engineer

Job Title: Process Engineer (Utilities Commissioning) Location: Beaumont, TX / Sabine Pass, TX Duration: 12-Month Contract + Extensions.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering

3–7 years of professional experience in Process Engineering

Strong utilities background :

Water Treatment

Steam Turbines

Fuel Gas Systems

Thermal Oxidizers

Willingness to work onsite, hands-on, and support field activities

Role Summary

Golden Pass LNG is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to support utilities commissioning at the start of a major LNG plant project in Beaumont, TX . This is an ideal opportunity for a mid-level engineer who wants field exposure, fast learning, and long-term growth .

You’ll work closely with a team of 7 Process Engineers and 1 Production Engineer during the early commissioning phase of utility systems. You’ll be in the field assisting operations, monitoring systems, troubleshooting, and helping prepare the plant for startup by December .

Once the utility systems stabilize, you’ll get exposure to every part of the plant including pipelines, marine operations, and terminal systems. Golden Pass encourages cross-training and long-term development.

Key Responsibilities:

Support commissioning and startup of utility systems

Conduct equipment testing (pressure testing, leak checks, performance validation)

Assist with field surveillance, troubleshooting, and monitoring operations

Ensure processes and equipment meet design specifications

Help optimize processes and support daily plant performance

Work across terminal, pipeline, and marine divisions as needed

Collaborate with operators and senior engineers in field activities
