Job Description:

SUMMARY: Verification testing of software & systems

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Verification testing of software and systems under test

Creating, updating and executing of test protocols along with along with documentation control

Reporting defects in defect tracking system and verifying fixes for defects

Creating verification plans and reports along with documentation control

Assembling and configuring multi-computer setups for verification of systems and software

Review and complete all assigned training related to design control processes

Create Design History File for verification and file the correct plans, protocols, and reports in the file.

Education and/or Experience

2-3 years experience with testing at many levels: Black-Box, System, Stress, User Acceptance, Load and Performance and Regression Testing

5 years experience in the medical device industry

Medical device testing experience

Experience in leading a team of software testers is a plus

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Engineering or Science is recommended

Skills and Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of Windows family of operating systems including SQL

• Proficiency with computer hardware, peripherals, and networks

• Proven ability to write and execute test protocols and defect reports

• Ability to follow and provide instruction as both a team member and individual

• Ability to Isolate bugs and write persuasive defect reports.

• High level of curiosity, creativity, tenacity, and thoughtfulness

• High level of problem solving and troubleshooting ability

• Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable when something is unfamiliar or things become uncertain

• Thorough understanding of FDA Design Control process
